Invisible Wonders of the Human Body
79The Human Body: More Than Meets the Eye
Most people would agree that the physical human body is a wondrous creation. It is a self-regulating system which has automated its most essential functions, it can repair itself when injured, and it can defend itself against viruses and illnesses which would attack its internal organisms. Yes, this amazing vehicle, which we mostly take for granted, is a miracle of creation in itself, but when we look further and discover there are many other facets to the human body beyond what we can see and touch, then this wonderment turns to awe.
The mystics of India and other cultures recognised centuries ago, that there are subtle bodies which surround the physical human body. These subtle bodies are named as follows: Physical (most dense), emotional, mental, astral, etheric, celestial and ketheric (the least dense). Until fairly recently the scientists, who demand proof of everything, denied the existence of these subtle bodies. However, the advent of Kirlean photography has enabled the human aura to be photographed, and so there can no longer be any doubt even to the scientists that these subtle bodies do exist, and that there is more to the human body than meets the eye. Let's take a closer look.
The Human Aura
The human aura is a band of energy, which extends out from the physical body anywhere from a few feet, to many hundreds of feet. It is constantly changing, and for those who can see and interpret its condition, it tells a story about the holistic condition of a person. A healthy person has an expanded aura, an unhealthy person, a contracted one. This aura is charged with energy, which can be seen as colours. In fact, whatever happens in the physical body must first manifest itself in the aura. So "reading" an aura can predict illnesses before they actually occur. For a complete examination of the human aura, see Barbara Brennan's book "Hands of Light".
The chakras
A sanskrit word which literally means "wheel". Chakras are energy centres, which spin, and control the distribution of energy throughout the body. They cannot be seen physically, but can be seen via etheric vision (an ability endowed upon some clairvoyants), and they have been proven scientifically to exist. They are spinning, coloured wheels of light. You have seven major chakras and many more minor ones. This energy which flows around the body is known as prana, or chi. Without this prana, we would die. It is not food that keeps the body alive, but prana (you may have noticed that it is no use giving food to a dead body), and so the condition of the chakras is fundamental to the condition of the whole, holistic, person.

The Meridians
There are meridians, or energy lines criss-crossing the body. These are made use of by techniques such as Acupuncture, Shiatsu and Reflexology. Releasing blockages in the energy flowing around the body through these meridians can cure illnesses without any recourse to drugs. I find it curious that what is now described as "alternative medicine" has in fact been around for thousands of years and is steeped in tradition, whereas modern medicine is very recent and is in fact a new “alternative” to traditional medicine.
Electrical Charges and Polarities
Running throughout the human body are positive and negative electrical charges. When there are blockages, or these electrical charges are out of balance, we can become ill. Rebalancing these charges can make us well again. Techniques such as Polarity Energy Balancing make use of this to heal.
Sacred Geometry of the Human Body
Then there is the sacred geometry of the physical body. Are you aware of this?
Did you know that the width of your outstretched arms is the same as your height? If you put your legs out to the side and stretch out your arms (like the upper set of arms in the drawing by Leonardo Da Vinci), a perfect circle fits around your body with its centre at your navel. The human body is governed by the phi ratio (1.618). The length of each bone in the body has a phi ratio to the next bone. The same ratio occurs with all your fingers and toes. Nothing in the human body is arbitrary. The length of your hand in is a phi ratio to the length of your lower arm, as is the length of the foot to the lower leg bone, and so on throughout the body. The list goes on and on.
Cellular Reproduction and Cellular Memory
There are 100 trillion (100,000,000,000,000) cells in the average human body. When the human body is adult, it has to replace two and a half million red blood cells every second of its life. For more information, see "The Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life", by Drunvalo Melchizidek.
There are also those who believe that we retain the memory, in every one of our cells, of everything that we have ever experienced, as well as all of the experiences of our ancestors. There are therapeutic healing techniques such as Cellular Memory Reprogramming which access this information and use it to readjust unwanted or harmful behaviour patterns.
So as you can see, the human being is a multi-dimensional, holographic entity which exists on many levels simultaneously, although we are normally only aware of our immediate physical surroundings and that which our physical senses can perceive.
However, with the ever rapid advances in scientific knowledge, perhaps soon the wonders of the invisible aspects of the human body, for so long refuted by sceptics will become part of our everyday understanding, and maybe then, real holistic healing will also take a permanent foothold.

Hehe...I do seem to be lurking around every time you post a new hub! But I do enjoy your writing...:)
Once I learned from my Reflexology teacher a technique where by putting my hand in a specific form in the head of a person, I could relief Headaches. I had used those technique with a 90% of effectiveness. May be that is part of "Polarity Energy Balancing". Do not know how it worked, but it did.
Nice hub.
I have to admit ,I do find all of this fascinating;I actually think the cure for many ailments grows around us-nature provides and knowledge helps.
Modern medicine seems to be pharma driven, its priority being profit.
I do not know. I am just a mystic student of life. Maybe after I reencarnate, I'll have develop more this ability. :) I
